2016 is gone. 2017 is down a month, but the global challenges have continued to surmount. Geopolitical and economic conditions are deteriorating, at large, in the world today. Perhaps the biggest threat to the world is Donal Trump after global warming issue.
Hence, it is time to take charge and be your own boss. The economy is shifting from full-time job towards gig economy. Nations like Nigeria, India and Scandinavian states are all turning out to be somewhat lesser versions of the Silicon Valley.
Amidst this, we have compiled a list of few tips that will enable entrepreneurs to navigate these tricky waters which are as under.
You don’t owe this world a thing
Now, this may sound like dialogue from Batman v. Superman when Mama Kent speaks to Clark Kent but truly you don’t! It is because when you are working for a major brand or a company, the lunch is free. You are invited to events such as dine-ins and to company celebrations. The company defines you.
But the moment you are on your own, there is no one around to help you achieve what you intend to. There will be only those who have walked the similar line as you or have once tried to be on their own and failed (succeeded) to guide and support you. Other than that, no one is your friend. So yea, “You don’t owe this world a darn thing!”
Formulate a team
No matter how talented you are or how much highly you rate yourself, but the truth of the matter is you don’t mean anything in the bigger picture. You will have your limitations resources wise such as finances and skills so, therefore, it is imperative that you build a team of like-minded individuals to be around you to provide you with the much needed assist.
I know you must be thinking then that means you will be sharing in the profits with them or if they are hired by you will have to pay them salaries. But I suggest you think it this way that you have been chosen by God to provide for them and their families. Consider it a blessing and a rarity to be bestowed with such honour.
Practically speaking, you can only do so much on your own. Help with essay is available in this regard. So keep an eye out for recruitment, always. Your weaknesses will be covered by their strengths and your strengths will nurture their weaknesses and allow them to cope.
There is no magic pill
If you have decided to become an entrepreneur, it is assumed that you have grown up and does not reside in fantasies. This real deal. You may have to put everything on the line; it could mean your career (full-time job), money and family (in terms of time you dedicate) so to transform that seed (idea) in your head to be translated into reality. You may fail but if you are persistent enough, you will succeed. So keep trying. But know this, there is no workaround to this and no magic pill.
I apologise in advance if this has caused offence to anyone but hey I don’t owe you a thing, remember? Being a perfectionist consumes you into the world that does not exist. The fact of the matter is that you can only be closer to perfection but never perfect and how close you are to being perfect is relative.
So I suggest, as an entrepreneur, f* perfection because it will hinder your progress towards realising your dream in a major way. You will always think that you or your project is not good enough and you just keep going back to the drawing board. Thus, allow your project and yourself to see the light of the day.
This list in not exhaustive, and it is up to you to follow aforementioned tips. The crux lies in the fact that to be an entrepreneur you have to be willing to embrace your imperfections and “let the chips fall wherever they may”~ Fight Club.
