Lipoteichoic Acid is a surface-associated adhesion amphiphile obtained from Gram-positive bacteria. It serves as the regulator of the autolytic wall enzymes, the muramidases. PINP, or the Procollagen I N-Terminal Propeptide is derived from collagen type I, the most common type of collagen in mineralized bone, collagen is synthesized by osteoblasts as procollagen made of the PINP and the carboxyl-terminal propeptide. PINP is a sensitive marker for bone formation and is used in monitoring of bone formation therapies. The PINP ELISA test kits help to detect the levels of PINP in serum, biological fluids, and plasma.
